Introduction to video:
Video in general may be defined as the sum of electronic capturing, recording, processing, storing, transmitting, and reconstructing of a sequence of still images that represent scenes in motion or as a pedagogical/andragogical aid that can be used in many ways: as a tool for learning, as a medium for collaboration, and as a universal language.
Video, in its various guises and modalities (broadcast television, laserdiscs, camcorders, videocassettes, DVDs, streaming video, satellite video, webcams, video conferencing, lecture capture) has been a strong enhancer of education. It appears poised to become another powerful change agent adding value to the learning process, while at the same time enhancing the quality of the learning experience.
To be accessible to all audiences, a number of video formats are usually hosted on the websites (web servers), or dedicated local and/or cloud storage sites, accessible with a variety of modern Internet browsers. Normal websites are developed for larger computer screens, which do not resize information when viewed on mobile phones, and are generally almost impossible to navigate on such a small phone screen. Many images and videos are far too large to be viewed on a mobile phone or any mobile video devices. For that reason, mobile websites are often used for hosting mobile videos, as compact versions of regular websites in order to cater to visitors using mobile phone browsers and dedicated apps on various mobile platforms. Some of the most popular platforms are: iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, and Windows 8. Most modern normal websites switch to the mobile version of the site, whenever the mobile browser is detected.
Needing to use the scrolling and zooming feature on a mobile phone means considerable time and effort may be wasted trying to view a website. The solution is to develop a mobile friendly smaller site. It has been found that generally all that is required is 3-5 pages, optimized for quick load, with simplified layout and extremely easy to navigate.
Mobile website design that offers a more simplistic navigation, is a key to the success of the site.
This website is made mobile friendly thanks to the Weebly Mobile View feature.
